Download or update charts before departure and preserve an independent backup. A browser map overlay may be incomplete, stale, obscured or unavailable when connectivity fails.
Use Coast Pilot information alongside the chart for narrative descriptions, hazards, facilities and regulations that cannot be shown completely as symbols.
